Biography
Sara exclusively focuses her near 20 year- practice on assisting individuals, farms, and businesses with filing for protection under Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. Sara is licensed in ND and MN State and Federal Courts and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. She takes pride in being part of helping those that need a fresh start.
Sara serves on the Minnesota Bankruptcy Practice Committee and has been a member of the North Dakota Bankruptcy Court Local Rules Committee in 2017/18 and 2022/23. She presently leads the organization, content, and moderation of the State Bar Association of North Dakota’s Annual Bankruptcy Law Update. In addition, she has presented on several occasions related to representing Debtors in farming cases and Chapter 13 cases, including the 8th Circuit Judicial Conference and the annual Minnesota State Bar Association Bankruptcy Institute.
In addition to her extensive bankruptcy practice, Sara serves as Diocesan Attorney for the Diocese of Crookston. She previously served on the Planning Commission and Park Board of the City of Hawley, Minnesota.
Sara enjoys spending time with her family camping, cooking/grilling, and watching sports. An avid baseball and football fan, Sara closely follows the Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Vikings.
